Blackwaterfoot Lodge is a well-established family run licensed hotel in the heart of Blackwaterfoot village. This impressive building dates back to the early 19th Century and is built in local sandstone over two floors and includes attic storage, staff accommodation and a separate owner/manager cottage.
At present, Blackwaterfoot Lodge is run on a seasonal basis, open from March until October, with the restaurant and bar facilities being leased (within the family) and managed separately.
Accommodation on the ground floor comprises entrance vestibule, hallway, reception, bar, residents lounge, restaurant with conservatory, kitchen with stores, laundry, office and public toilets. On the upper floor, the main letting accommodation comprises five double/twin bedrooms, all with ensuite facilities, and one double bedroom with private bathroom. Additionally, ‘The Loft’ is a one-bedroom letting studio apartment which has its own entrance and parking space
On the ground floor of ‘The Loft’, there are two staff bedrooms with shared shower room and utility/kitchen room.
Below the kitchen to the rear of the lodge there is a further one-bedroom, self-contained studio apartment which is also currently utilised for staff.
Appended to the lodge is a cosy two-bedroom self-contained cottage which would offer owners or manager’s accommodation or self catering rental.

The garden is mostly flat, open and laid to lawn with off road parking to the front. To the side of the conservatory there is an enclosed garden with outside seating available for guests to use. To the rear is a guest bike store and a large concrete block and timber built shed, currently used as a workshop and housing the wood-pellet store and bio-mass boiler below.
