This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire an incredible unique property in one of Arran’s most desirable locations. Sea Yetts is a remarkably authentic beach side home which offers exclusivity, privacy and charm. The accommodation comprises porch, central hallway, stunning lounge open plan to a sunken level dining room, breakfasting kitchen, three bath/shower rooms, utility room, four double bedrooms, large upper floor office/study and an expansive garage conversion which could be a studio / gym / workshop or whatever your heart’s desire!
The extensive grounds at Sea Yetts are simply breathtaking. Extending to around 1.6acres, the property enjoys an expansive lawned area to the front and side, bound by mature flowering plants, native and exotic shrubs, and mature trees. A sweeping gated gravel driveway leads from the main A841 circular coastal road around Arran, into a private and sheltered area providing off road parking for a plethora of vehicles. The pathways around the property have been beautifully slabbed with sandstone and to the front there is a delightful stepped patio enjoying the wonderful views. There is a hot tub and a beautiful Japanese Zen Garden within the grounds along with a 6 berth caravan, a large timber store and work area which accommodates the oil tanks. From the garden a large secure gate opens onto the path leading to Sannox Beach, arguably one of Arran’s finest.
Welcome to Sea Yetts! When you view this property you will appreciate why it is so difficult to express it in words - Sea Yetts is a destination rather than ‘just’ a property. The grounds are incredible, immersive and the setting is one of the best which our island has to offer.
The entrance to the grounds is grand, yet laid back. A bright porch brings you into the property and through to the central hallway of this unique and welcoming home.
The stunning and extremely spacious lounge is the heart of the building – with full height windows and doors opening onto the patio, this room is breathtaking during the day, and remarkably cosy in the evenings boasting a living flame feature fireplace with traditional mantel piece and marble hearth.
The lounge is open plan to a large formal dining area which can be separated by the recessed sliding panel glazed doors and features an inset multi-fuel stove.
There is a good sized breakfasting kitchen, which enjoys the garden views, it is fully fitted with base and wall mounted units and a free standing dual fuel Smeg stove. The kitchen includes two substantial walk in pantries. From the kitchen there is a large utility room which houses a shower room to the rear.
Sea Yetts has four well proportioned double bedrooms wrapping around the central lounge – bedroom one enjoys the most generous proportions and an abundance of built in storage, however each of the bedrooms enjoy ample storage.
There is a family bathroom and a shower room as well as two fabulous full height storage cupboards from the central hallway.
The appended garage has been converted into a versatile public room which has a side door and large patio doors accessing the parking area - this could have a variety of uses such as gym, workshop, family room or office. This room can also be accessed from the utility room in the main home.
From the entrance hall, a neat staircase leads up to a bright study, reflecting the quirky layout on the ground floor, this room is already an excellent home office and features some built in traditional oak book cases as well as plenty of roof windows which fill the room with natural light.
To fully absorb the ambience of Sea Yetts we would suggest arranging a viewing with us – we are convinced that you will fall in love with the place just as we have.
Sea Yetts is located close to both the beautiful sandy beach and the village quay in the heart of Sannox and has always been a popular holiday village. Today most people arrive by car via the ferry into Brodick or Lochranza, both of which are approximately 7 miles away.
Many of the pleasures remain the same, walking along the shores or into the mountains, fishing, bird watching and entering into the strong community spirit within the village. Of course, on Arran, the sea is an adventure playground - from sailing to kayaking to open water swimming - and Sannox, with its accessible sandy beach is a watersports enthusiasts' play area.
Corrie & Sannox Golf Club and Tea Room are nearby and it is approximately seven miles from Brodick, the main shopping centre for the island. The nearest primary school is at Corrie, just a mile or so along the road; the secondary school being at Lamlash to which pupils travel daily. Other services nearby in Corrie include the community Corrie and Sannox village hall with its vibrant social and community events, popular Corrie hotel, and delicatessen shop.
